In partnership with American Architects and Buildings

Subscribe Now! or learn more by reading the information below.

The member institutions of American Architects and Buildings are offering unprecedented, high-resolution online access to their images through a subscription service on the AAB website. The entire cost of the subscriptions goes to support the project, allowing the continued development of this important resource on architecture.

What do I get?

You get one year of unlimited high-resolution access to more than 110,000 images, including blueprints, drawings, and photographs. You will be able to zoom in to see the full detail of almost all of our images, without waiting for an entire image to download.

A subscription to AAB gives you the ability to see these images only on this website. A copy of an image, or permission to use an image, is usually available from the owning institution for a fee. As an additional benefit to subscribers, the Athenæum of Philadelphia provides discounts on its reproduction fees for items in its collections.

What's the difference between registering and subscribing?

  • Registering is free, and lets you search the entire database and use the My Buildings and My Architects features.
  • Subscribing, for an annual fee, provides you with access to the high-resolution digital images on the website. A subscription also provides discounted reproduction fees for items in the collections of the Athenaeum of Philadelphia.

Can I see a demonstration?

The following high-resolution images are viewable without a subscription, and demonstrate what you will receive with your subscription. (Click on one of the thumbnails to see the ER Mapper image.)
