Comments

A jury consisting of Gregory Ain, Charles Eames, Richard Neutra, John Leon Rex and Sumner Spaulding selected Eero Saarinen and Oliver Lundquist's scheme for the first prize among 512 submissions in August 1943. The competition program,open to all U.S. designers, was announced in April 1943. Kahn did not win any prizes or honorable mentions in this competition.
