In 1936 when George Edkins resigned from the office of Watson, Edkins & Thompson, William Heyl Thompson and the aging Frank R. Watson continued the firm as Watson & Thompson, enduring until Watson's death in 1940. They continued the work of the previous office on the Cathedral Church of Christ in Roxborough.
