William W. Price inherited a distinguished name and place in Philadelphia architecture. Son of William L. Price and nephew of Walter Price, he succeeded his uncle in the firm of Price & Walton, establishing a partnership with John M. Dickey under the name Price & Dickey in 1947.
William W. Price was born in Philadelphia, received his A.B. from Swarthmore College in 1912 and undertook graduate work at both the University of Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania State College. From 1914 to 1916 he worked as a draftsman in his father's firm, Price & McLanahan, and then engaged in work for his uncle's firm, Price & Walton, from 1927 to 1929.
